heads up, comedy nerds

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 by Chris

one of the crazy questions that has never kept me up at night is "what ever happened to that guy who was on that dating show on MTV from more than a decade ago?" well, chris hardwick, he of "not jenny mccarthy" fame, has become a really great comedian, writer, musician, blogger, twitterer, and now, podcaster.

the nerdist is the center of the tornado (hurricane?) that is all things c. hardwick, and it is impossible for me to say anything bad about it, other than to say that it's slightly not as awesome as the podcast is shaping up to be. one of the bestest hours i've spent in the past few weeks was listening to the drew carey episode.

the latest episode of the podcast features adam carolla, and i have some high hopes for it.

irish women give you super powers

Tuesday, December 8, 2009 by Chris

as i've said many times before, patton oswalt is the greatest living comedian. bar-none. debate it and you'll basically end up looking like a small child who has never heard anyone say anything funny ever. g'head. give it a try.

anyway, just in time for christmas, music/comedy nerd gods chunklet are not only packaging the complete, unedited 2 hour and 22 minute performance that eventually became patton's first album with two other tour only cds, but they're giving a big fuck you to making you pay for shipping.

20 bucks. no shipping. 3 hours of some of the best of the best standup of the past decade spread across three cds with special guest spots from zach galifianakis, maria bamford, eugene mirman, and brian posehn.

here's half an hour of patton getting insanely drunk on top shelf scotch set to a piano soundtrack by zach g. you're welcome. go buy some shit.
