just saying, criterion dvds are half off over at barnes and noble until... they're not?

i scored the above image from the auteur's fake criterion thread which is loaded with crazy graphical design nerds posting up some sweet movie boners.

i'd been meaning to watch man bites dog for a long time now, and finally got around to it. i didn;t know much about the premise other than "black comedy in which a documentary crew follows serial killer" which had me hooked. the movie ended up being really great and it's a huge bummer that it seems to be the beginning and end of these guys film career.

criterion put out the dvd, which means copious amounts of extra features, one of which was their fantastic short film that really shows the breadth of range they were capable of. it's a real shame that in this painfully short little blog post i'm able to present the entirety of a group of promising artists' career, but i guess that's how it goes.
