it's exactly what you think it is... exactly...

enter the magical mystery chambers... if you dare, or like, enjoy music and stuff...

hustle up tho, cause i have no idea how long till emi gets its labial bits a twitter and shuts this down.

soooo bad

after seeing this i almost want to cancel my order for that stupid expensive box set. this pile of offal has tainted the beatles that much for me i think.

thanks to monkeys for helping for making me rethink my purchasing habits.

yeah yeah yeah... mashemups are as dead as dillinger. i get it. the medium has pretty much exploded itself into the mainstream and with the ease of use granted us by computers, anyone with a copy of audacity can get their smash on. whatever. DJBC is still some unheralded shit.

philip glass on top of hip-hop? this could have sucked so hard and instead come out about as shiny as free gold.

yeah, throwing the beatles on top of anything is a little bit played out, but when it's done as stylishly as this it's more than worth your time.

the djbc site has stopped hosting either of these albums, but glassbreaks is readily available over at the WFMU blog, and the beastles album can be had on just about any torrent tracker.

super, man

Beatles: Twist & Shout (Diplo Remix)(Uppercuts, 2006)

this came out on the (apparently now deceased) uppercuts label, which also distributed a one sided 12" of the paul simon track that currently resides one post down. boomkat has the vinyl for both of those, but a legit mp3 is gonna be hard to track down if not impossible due to the fact that the beatles (like most every established act around) are incredibly litigious and have no concept of fair use, except in ways that benefits them.
