i cannot get enough arthur russell right now. to those unaware, he was an avante garde cellist who also happened to revolutionize the new york disco scene before dying of aids in 1992.





while he's known best for these ny loft party prime time records, it's the more subdued stuff that i cannot stop listening to.



there's a documentary out, and lots of crazy gorgeous stuff keeps getting unearthed, dusted off, and widely released by audika records.
