That Dawg's pretty cool.

So Dreed and I have been talking about dogs a lot.. or rather, I have been talking about dogs, and Dreed has been putting up with it. Especially little dogs, and puppies. He says that the really little and fluffy dogs are creepy because they have been bred for so long to look that way. To which, I responded... somewheres abouts... fuck that shit, I want my dog as spherical and as fluffy as possible. I want a fluffy sphere, with tiny legs and a face. That's it.

but maybe this dog buisness IS kinda weird...

dang what a great weekend. good shit happened personally, but internet people don't care about that. all they wanna know is what i ate, which was really really good.

i'm not gonna go out and say i'm some sort of hot dog connoisseur, but damn if i don't love the hell outta some well made dogs with tons of weird-o toppings options.

good dog is a little local joint on the west side of the tennessee river, surrounded by crappy little knick-knack shops, but regardless, good vibes poured out of the front door. it was immediately determined that this was where lunch was going to get got.

on the left is their chicago dog, which tossed the bun length pickle (eff a purist), replacing it with some crisp dill chips. on the right is the philly dog with brown ballpark mustard lining the bun, cream cheese, and grilled onion sauce. the ketchup options were the real deal, with wasabi (good) and curry (way better) options. and yeah, that's some mayo (plus some sesame seeds). they called it frittessauce, but it was mayo through and through.

note the cupcake in the background. red velvet.

breakfast the day after the wedding was at aretha frankensteins. breakfast, beer, espresso, lunch. you got a better way to spend a sunday afternoon with an open bar induced hangover? nope.

best pancakes i have ever eaten. they do the mix themselves, and cook each one in a cast iron skillet. biscuits on the left that got drenched in apple butter, spicy potatoes and spicy cheese grits.

i'm not even going to go into the food they had at the wedding reception.
