as anyone who regularly reads the pickles dickles knows, i've ridden extra hard for the most recent dirty projectors album bitte orca. definitely in my top 5 albums of the year, hands down.

well, today the pfork posted up this really great soul-dripping cover of the first single form the DP album by beyonce's little sister solange, who has apparently snipped off her long locks and is trying out some lady gaga sort of style revamp since the above picture was snapped.

i really dig it. the vocals are pretty on point with the ones from the original (below) but the subtle production tweaks flesh it out for the slight genre shift.
