certified bananas is two dudes originally from providence, sammy bananas and certified max. they've been doing the dj/remixer/mashup thing for a while now, and sammy bananas has found himself in the enviable position of being on the fools gold records roster.
back in 2005, they were putting out monthly mixes for a little while and ended up selling them as a set for something like 20 bucks (real cds! shipped to your door!). the tribe into prefuse into snoop into nikka costa section is a slice of perfection to my ears, as is the beefed up joanna newsome song. just like the diplo mix, these are single 320 kbps tracks and might take a sec to hit their stride as far as loading goes.
